Jewar/Greater Noida, 12 June 2026: The wait is finally over. Noida International Airport (IATA: DXN), located at Jewar in Gautam Buddh Nagar, will begin commercial flight operations on 15 June 2026 — just 3 days from today. The airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 28 March 2026 and has since completed all regulatory approvals for passenger flights.
Ticket bookings opened on 7 May 2026 via IndiGo and on 11 May 2026 via Akasa Air, with thousands of passengers already booked for the inaugural flights.

No Metro Yet - How to Reach Jewar Airport in June 2026
As of the 15 June 2026 launch date, there is no metro or RRTS connectivity to the airport. Passengers from Noida and Greater Noida can reach Jewar via the Yamuna Expressway. Cab and taxi services are available from Noida, Greater Noida and Delhi NCR.
PM Modi on Jewar Airport
Speaking at the inauguration on 28 March 2026, PM Modi said the airport marks a new chapter for Viksit UP and Viksit Bharat, and that UP has now become one of the states with the highest number of international airports in India. He added that this airport will benefit districts of Western UP including Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Etawah and Faridabad.
