Greater Noida, 12 June 2026: In a major crackdown, the Greater Noida Police busted a organized burglary gang on 5 June 2026 that had been systematically targeting locked residential houses across Noida, Greater Noida and the wider NCR region. Four accused were arrested and a significant haul of valuables and illegal weapons was recovered.

How Were They Caught?
Acting on a tip-off, Greater Noida Police intercepted the gang members during a routine check on the service road near Moser Baer roundabout on Friday night. Two suspects were injured in a brief encounter while two others were arrested during a combing operation in the surrounding area.
How the Gang Operated
During questioning, the accused revealed their modus operandi. The key member, a Rapido cab driver by profession, would roam various housing societies across Noida, Greater Noida and NCR to identify locked and unoccupied houses. He would pass this information to his associates, who would then execute planned thefts.
The gang is confirmed to have committed a major theft at Paramount Society in Surajpur on 25 April 2026. They also robbed houses in Jaitpur village and Magadh Enclave, Sector 144 in the absence of owners.
Accused Profile
Police confirmed that all four arrested individuals are hardened criminals with multiple prior cases including theft, robbery and Arms Act violations registered against them in Noida, Greater Noida and NCR police stations.
